THE DARLINGS OF SCARLET RIBBON SCHOOL OF BURLESQUE
The Darlings Troupe is our students chance to showcase their new-found talents in a friendly and secure environment. We host regular charity shows where students of Scarlet Ribbon School have the opportunity to participate in both group and solo dances, as well as supportive roles such as stage maid, for friends and family. Scarlet Ribbon's staff have found that this is great way for students to take their first tentative steps into performing which has led to great things.
Qoutes from the Darling students:
"I think doing a show with your "classmates" gives you a bond that wasn't there before. Listening to a tune you did together in the show reminds you of something good or bad and it makes you smile...particularly when you share it!!"
"Doing a show gives you a shared sense of nerves and it's great to support each other through that. The backstage chat is one of my favourite bits and you often get to learn so much more about people and other performers that you might at class. It's a great sense of team work and group achievement and sharing the success of a good show and being able to laugh off any little mistakes knowing that there is a group of people there to support you"
"A real bonding experience! Felt sick with nerves before the show, but was reassured by my classmates and felt super proud of our achievements as a group. Can't wait to do it again!!!
